Youth Ministry

Goals
The youth ministry at LPC is committed to discipling young people for Jesus Christ. Our goal is to assist our youth in becoming mature servants of the Lord who are active members of his church and salt and light in the world. To that end we:
  • Provide opportunities for studying God’s Word in both large and small group settings
  • Encourage involvement in the work of the church, including evangelism, service projects, and missions projects
  • Provide oportunities for fellowship and group building in a Christian context
Groups
Our Junior High youth group ministers to those who are in grades 6-8. Young people in grades 9-12 belong to our Senior High group.

Both the Senior High and Junior High youth groups meet on Sunday evenings from 5:30 - 7:30 pm for prayer and Bible study. In addition, the Senior High meets in people's homes every Sunday night from 7:30 - 9 pm for a time of fellowship and refreshments.

Activities
  • Smallgroup Bible studies and other activities are announced on a month-to-month basis.
  • Service projects have included serving at our monthly Food From the Heart dinners, sorting and organizing clothes for the Pregnancy Resource Clinic of North Penn, and participating in the annual Walk for Life.
  • Summer missions projects have involved our young people in evangelism, Vacation Bible School, and building projects in places as far away as Jamaica, and as local as the Whosoever Gospel Mission in Philadelphia.
